Wheel Chair Tango

Wheel Chair Tango is a duet and research project exploring a movement language for seated and standing dancers. The project aimed to address the lack of diversity in Tango and was created in collaboration with the dancer Mehmet Arik. The duet explored vertical and horizontal planes using Tango based concepts of the spiral, weight shifts and single/ shared exis. The project included a series of workshops for professional and non-professional dancers. 

The project was sponsored by ACE and The Lowry.
